Photographic Archive

From here you will find links to the photographic archive that has been created for the NSRC. Many of the photographs have been collated by Basil Jueda, of whom we are indebted to such hard work on the local area.

This incredible and extensive collection of images from along the full Churnet Valley Line, covers right from the first opening at the turn of the century until closure in the mid-1960s. Some images have been donated to cover the period of use as a freight only line extracting sand from Oakamoor, and in recent times supporters and volunteers have added their own collections to show the efforts made in preservation and building up a heritage railway in the Churnet Valley.

Special thanks must go to Dave Gibson and Chris Knight, for the hours of painstaking work in collating, scanning and numbering each and every image.
